Piper had done everything, all those special talks, the little life lessons, she had felt it was her place to take helm of them. Her excuse, because Wes was always so messed up, that he wasn't in the right state of mind to give anyone advice. Maybe that was true, it was true that he had been a pretty bad state at the time, but should he have lost all rights to his children, and their future? No, but Piper had certainly made him feel that was the case. It had been something he struggled with when Noe had come along. For a time, it had seemed like he was going to be left to raise the boy on his own, what with Cat being so sick. That more than anything, had caused him to step up, and play the role of father, that he was meant to. An equal part in his children's lives. Once Cat had recovered, it hadn't changed, he was still as involved as he had been. All those talks, those mile stones, they had shared in them. What he could have done without? Having to be present with Delphine had had the talk. Now, talk about being fucking uncomfortable. It wasn't surprising to learn that Cat had done most of the talking that day, while Wes sat back, recoiled into himself as much as he could have been. Still, he offered little bits here, and there, when it was asked of him... agreements from Cat, something to which he could nod his head, or say 'yeah' to. "Yeah, but looking at you, I'm not surprised." A child was always going to be beautiful to their parents, but yeah, he knew they had a handful of stunners in their mix. Noe, well, he looked how all those Greek status back home had. The boy hadn't needed to be charming, girls had just followed him around because of the way he looked. Now Felix, he did have the charm, if he had the looks too, God help them. Delphine was Cat's spitting image, and he knew he would be losing sleep over her.
"Good, I can't do... all that. Anything cute, it still repulses me." Try getting him in babiesRus, and watch him squirm. All the pink, and stuffed animals, and cartoon characters with big eyes, and horrible smiles... and people thought demons were scary? "Girlfriend? Serious? Or not serious?" Noe had always been the girlfriend type. Not the sleep around type. It seemed he fell in love a little bit each time, but they both knew that eventually it would happen, and stick. Was that time now? "So long as we get to see him, I don't care where. This traveling shit sucks. I haven't seen Frida in almost a year. She was in Russia a month ago, now she is back in California." His second eldest daughter had found a knack in the fashion industry. That kept her hopping, always scouting for new models to strut the runways wearing the newest duds she had hammered out. Not seeing them all sucked, but at least they talked each week. It was just difficult to work out all the time zones, the life of a rock star, it wasn't all what it seemed cracked up to be. Some lessons took a while to learn, and he had been given chance, after chance to learn from his mistakes. That was the luxury of immortality. You fucked up enough, that finally you had to learn from those mistakes, and try something new. With his youngest children, he hadn't wanted to expose them to his really dark nature in such a crude way. Noe, and Delphine both knew now, knew that he had once been a junkie. They understood that he might fuck up again, but he was doing his damnedest to keep it under wraps. So much so, that when Noe had dared to chase the dragon out of curiosity, Wes had come real close to whooping this ass. Wes had never so much as raised his voice to any of his children. That level of rage alone had told his son just how serious he was about the issue. "We should," Oh, he wasn't going to object to that, Wes was no idiot. His eyes racked over her face, before their lips came together. An exchange reminiscent of a teen aged make out fest. "I'm the best ever, doll." He corrected, his tongue sweeping across his lips, savoring the taste of her that lingered. "Uh, yeah... we should probably get on with that. The savages will grow restless soon." That, and he ran the risk of losing one of his band mates to the groupies for the rest of the night.
