Jaida might have seen it as her duty to convince Vivian that she hadn't made the wrong choice. It wasn't a shared point of view, however. While Jaida had most certainly been the inspiration behind Henry's murder, Vivian had acted, with no promises between the two, what so ever. It would have been very easy for Jaida to turn her down, to simple raise a brow, and declare that it was too little, too late. Which honestly, she wouldn't have blamed her for. There had been so much bad blood between the two, that she was expecting the rejection. Of course, the reaction which she did receive, was far more than she could have ever hoped for. Taking Henry completely out of the equation, and by her own hands had spoken volumes to the muse. It had showed her, just how genuine her plea for a new beginning for them had really been. While she appreciated the fact that Jaida wanted to keep her happy, never wanted her to experience any moments of doubt, it wasn't something she thought the vampire obligated to do. Though, Jaida probably didn't see it in that way either. The two weren't so different. They both loved being the center of attention, when it came to their lover. They wished to be all that they desired, enough of a prize that their mate would never dare think the grass was greener on the other side. Jaida was admittedly jealous, and the claws would come out if she felt that her status was at all threatened by someone else. Vivian on the other hand, she didn't get jealous, she just left. Perhaps they were both children in their behavior, both reactions juvenile for the most part, but it was simply the way they were, and so long as they both knew how the other would react, there was no issue to be had. Since the two had been reunited, she had not taken another woman to bed, a man, yes. That had always been an allowance with the two. Women were off limits, but men for the sake of dick only were allowed. The older she became, the less intriguing men became. Women were far more interesting creatures, as where men were usually simple, and rather disgusting at times. Once she had her feel, Vivian drew back, the crimson stain clinging to her lips, before her tongue bashed it away. She watched for a moment, as her beck healed it's self, before she leaned down once more, to clear away the lingering blood. "Fuck it's been too long..." The hand that had been holding her thigh, crept a path over the front of her body, between the valley of her breast, until her fingers danced lightly against the skin of her jaw. "You're blood is sweeter now, than it was years ago..." It convinced her all the more, that blood was very much like wine. Given time to age, the taste became all the more deletable. With the taste still hanging onto her tongue, she pressed her lips to Jaida's. Sealing them in a kiss, as her tongue swept into her mouth.
"You were just a baby, Cal, there'd be no way for you to remember... It was fucking great while it lasted, well, of what I can remember. I was just a lad myself, but I remember being excited to go to the hospital, to see you, and Ma. Your Dad took me up there, and I brought you this horrible stuffed.... fuck, I think it was a hippo, or something. I don't know. It was in the gift shop, and it was blue. I had to give you something blue, because you were a boy." That had been the only real time he'd felt secure in a family environment. He had thought they'd all be a proper family together, with their Ma, and the man who was willing to call them both son, regardless of blood. Still to this day, he couldn't forgive his mother for ruining all that for them. If only she hadn't been selfish, if only she could have done right by them, and cleaned herself up. Fuck, Callum's father could have easily been the best thing to happen to her, and she threw him away with both hands. "How is your Dad, by the way? Do you still talk to him?" It had been years since he'd seen his mother, and even longer since he'd spoken to his ex-step father. Considering the sort of life his longer brother had lived, he had to guess that they had the same strained relationship, that he had with Heather.
