"I figured she would need a few hours. I have to do something nice for her." The question was what. Vivian knew her best, but it felt weird to go to her, and ask how she ought to thank her for turning her boyfriend into a vampire, when Vivian didn't want any part of it. Maybe the thought would be enough, Jaida had to realize that nothing Juniper cooked up, would compare to the sort of gift that Vivian could give her. Even with that thought in mind, she wanted to try and do something for her. "I saw him, he woke me up...." It occurred to her then just why he had felt the need to remind her that Dom was just outside. "Cal, you won't hurt me. I mean you could, but I'd put up a damn good fight... and I'd play dirty and kick you in the nuts. Sorry to say, but it's true." If he did happen to snap, she would be able to resist him enough to alert Dom that something was wrong. Between the two of them, the weres could get the upper hand on him. It might not be so easy for her at the moment, given what she had been through the previous night, but when it came down to living, or not living, she was confident her instincts would kick in enough to help save her. "Did she feed you on bagged blood, or from a person? Viv has people that actually do that for a living. They are trained to help knew vampires learn to feed. It's... pretty fucking weird. I couldn't imagine having that on my resume." Alex had told her that when he was turned, his sire had brought five different people into the chamber, and let him drink from them all, until he had been satisfied. It sounded like a pretty dangerous way of doing things, but from what she knew of Alex's sire, the woman didn't carry much respect for humans, aside from the ones she took for lovers. All else were up for grabs, ripe for the picking.
She grinned, her arms unwrapping from his neck, as she placed her hands at the tops of his arms, feeling his biceps beneath the material of his shirt. "Yeah, you might stand a chance, honey." His body didn't feel any different, just touching him, aside from the cool. But looking at either of them, you wouldn't expect that strength to be present. "So long as I don't smell like wet dog, or something..." This, she hadn't expected. Feeling almost giddy, because he understood why she had such fixation with smells now. It was exciting, because he was different like she was, and in his own way, he was much like an animal too. It was almost clear in her face how this new development was making her feel a bit like a kid on Christmas morning. Living with Vivian, and Jaida, you grew used to the smell of vampires. They each had their own smell, but it was always touched with decay. It wasn't something she couldn't get used to, but she knew she would miss his old scent, because it had been one of the first things she let herself indulge in, before the two of them had ever even kissed. It was the thing that you held most strongly to memory. As he began to speak again, her head lifted, her eyes locking with his own. "I don't want to be done with it either, but... and I'm probably jumping the fucking gun here, a lot... I am going to get older, I'll age. When I look ninety, you can't look at me, and still say I'm beautiful. I know looks don't matter much, but we're visual creatures, and all the love in the world isn't going to make you want to stay with some old bag of wrinkles." Her tongue swept over her bottom lip, drawing it between her teeth for a moment. "I'm a were, I'm always going to be one... I can't be turned. We couldn't ever have forever together." Most couples would fizzle out before ever getting close to that, but when you were this much in love, you thought about what forever could mean. "I'm a little afraid of waking up one day, and you not looking at me like you do now." Swallowing, she looked past him for a moment, before her eyes shot back to his own. "But I also know that I didn't ask you to go through with this, just to turn around, and throw in the towel. I was a little selfish, because I still want you... us."
