Fiona nodded tersely, holding the small lighter by whose flickering light they were working a little way from the bomb. It ought to be safe, but she had never thought that bombs were safe, no matter what assurances were made, even when she helped assemble one herself. "Set it. Thirty seconds."
The timing mechanism was crude and imprecise, but the more time they set it for, the more likely it was that the blast cap would fail to detonate on the set time... or at all. Thirty seconds ought to give them enough time to get out of range, and reduced that risk significantly.
"We'll go on your mark," she added, meeting his gaze and that of their third partner in crime, to make sure that they were all on board. They could not botch this up.
