It had been a while since she’d seen Simon last, not that it was entirely his fault, she’d been busy with festival set-up for the past week. Maura had only barely been into Ceddon's for her usual shifts in the logistical dash to make sure everything went according to plan. Her expression was cheerful and familiar though, like maybe they’d seen each other just yesterday. Maura leaned forward, propping her elbows on the counter as he came closer.
“Mmhmm, It’s a good day for omens. Sunny and bright means you’ll see things clearly.” She rested her chin lightly on her palm “Good day for charity too, would you like a fortune?” it was asked with a wink and another smile, already anticipating Simon’s ‘No.’ She’d been to enough festivals to know that while Simon certainly showed up, he was never really a part of them. Always on the edge of the fray, always doing business.
