Last Act | Tucker & Ciara
"It's not so much that I support the tax as I do not actively object to it," Ciara responded with an airy wave of her hand, as if she was referring to something as inconsequential as the weather instead of a topic that had been on the lips of every bedmate since the news broke.
Being called Sarah was faintly irksome, but Ciara was surprised by the tickle of amusement she felt when Tucker referred to the likes of Calvin as a Dabu. Perhaps it was a little sacreligious, but she simply smirked rather than correct the error; it wasn't as if Tucker would bother to use the correct title anyway.
"And it has nothing to do with confidence or faith in others. The bedmates who are so vocal in their opposition to the tax are the ones who cannot get away with raising their prices. I am not worried," she asserted boldly. The answer might not have encompassed all her thoughts on the matter, but it was at least the truth. "So session costs rise, and clients who cannot pay complain too. How shocking that you are not amongst their number."
