The pick twirled in her hand before she flipped it from one hand to the other. The trick was lost on him though, with him refusing to look at her. Stubborn. Or purposefully rude and not taking her seriously, which, really it was hard to blame him for. Either way, she could work with it.
"Grave robbing." Briar answered helpfully, staying where she was. He had tensed when she spoke, jumpy but not angry or scared enough to stop. Or swing his shovel at her to make her go away. Just in case, she didn't want to get closer to him in order to avoid him becoming volatile. While she had been known to be impulsive, working a job on a mark though usually helped curb that and she was already slipping into that role.
Even her country accent while speaking Clovennian started to fade and into her own, in order to separate this version of her from the one who had been living in Glynn for the past year.
