Cassius took a moment to consider the advice, glancing up at the sky in thought, then back at the woman standing in the grave. It was good information, and he felt a pang of regret in having not considered the Marshall as a factor. By now his curiosity in what this was all about had overcome his desire to save face.
He approached the grave so he could speak more softly, though he still maintained a respectable distance. "And to what do I owe this kindness? I can't imagine you'd have approached only because you can't stand to see shoddy workmanship."
