Darrow blinked. Then blinked again. Quite possibly a third time as well.
Well then.
"Uh..." Okay, so she'd either missed a lot of subtext in their conversation (not unlikely, she was tragically out of the loop these days), or this woman was just...spontaneous enough to be endearing. She could work with either. (Maybe.) Realizing she hadn't actually answered yet, she offered a sheepish, but warm smile, feeling the tips of her ears heat up just the barest bit, "Well that's hardly fair." Teasing, nothing taken out of hand, getting back on even footing, "You know, think I can manage that."
She flourished an over dignified bow, trying to keep a straight face, "Until next time then, my dear." A much more simple and easy-going wave, "Have a good night," she added gently, small smile back in place, before turning on her heel to head for her apartment, shaking her head at her own ridiculousness.
