If you're looking for trouble Who: Tuck & Cassius What: Friendship & Faidoux Prep (also probably scheming) When: Saturday afternoon, December 16th (slightly backdated) Where: The Laboratory in Belmont Rating: TBD Status: Ongoing
Tucker rolled from his bed at his usual late hour, the relentlessly cheerful sun peeking minimally through the dark curtains. He rang for his usual fruit-heavy breakfast and stretched his shoulders as he waited for it to arrive, pacing around in his dressing gown instead of laying for an extra twenty minutes as he usually did. He hated mornings on principle, but this particular morning cheered him significantly. Everything was rather dull in Glynn, all things considered, but he lived for Treatment days.
And besides, since Cas had arrived, everything had seemed a bit... better, all things considered. He was good, intelligent company and Tuck appreciated having someone smart to talk to who wasn't a servant or, worse, an Aurellian. January even seemed to acknowledge his presence more frequently (and even talk to him sometimes) now that Cas was around to be a buffer. It was... better with him here. By far.
Tuck ate his breakfast with a bit more gusto than usual and, after being dressed, headed directly to the laboratory, a small glass of vin coca in his hand. (It was perhaps a bit early for vin coca, but he wanted to be sharp today. And besides, vin coca was delicious.) Turning the key in the lock, he slipped into the laboratory, blinking momentarily against its light, and grinned to find his friend already there, busily preparing the syringes for treatment. "Hey Cas," he said, shifting his shoulders back a bit more and taking a delicate sip of his wine. "How do they look today?"
