He looked to Llewellyn from the corner of his eyes as he slid his hand over his hair. He was so close and he was touching him and even just a few hours ago this exact scenario would have been unthinkable. Beau was tired and numb but the touch was pleasant all the same and instead of shamefully analyzing every aspect of what was happening here he let it go to deal with some other time. He exhaled softly through his nose. Llewellyn was thanking him for what he'd done and as much as that felt foreign to him, he filed it away. Something to hold close later.
“It’s my job to protect the people under my roof.” He said quietly, tilting his head to look at Llewellyn as he sat back down in his chair. “Let’s see if I haven’t just made it harder for everyone.”
