One of her eyes opened (when had they closed?) to glare at him petulantly, "Differently, meaning I am right and you are wrong. I am a goddamn delight." In a way that sounded like a declaration of truth instead of just a statement. The so there. Was silent but still loud, as if that was something that he couldn't possibly argue with. But she wasn't the most mature person when she was tired, "Whatever you say kid. I win." Honestly, he looked close to her age, but it was fun to tease him. His laughter and expressions were fun to watch, after growing up with people who liked to guard their emotions she had found herself drawn to the expressive sort--especially when they expressed positive emotions rather than snobbishness all the time.
Both of her eyes were closed again even as she scoffed, "It's called playing with your food. You are fun prey." Perhaps she should have shifted it to past tense, but even now in her hazy state it was hard to resist messing with him. Also, because as if she was going to admit that she really did lose him for a moment, and had he not shifted she definitly would have caught up to him.
