ARTPOP
Who: Beau Rosier and Julius Tennyson
What: Art Boys
When: Thursday Late Morning, January 4th
Where: Rosier Manor, The Gallery
The gallery was a long stretch of hallway just off of the drawing room. Hung with carefully curated portraits from Beau’s collection, it was a pretty little walking space but ordinarily quite empty. Thursday had been an exceptional day, however, and so, for now, Beau occupied the space. He sat curled in a window seat along the gallery, half hidden from view from either end.
With his fingers wrapped around a piece of charcoal, Beau sat silently making studies of the trees outside across the pale expanse of an open sketchbook. It was too cold to go out, so he made do with the view over the vineyard terraces. The urge to sit and empty his mind of anything but form and light was strong considering how recently his guests had arrived. He needed to do something to focus and drawing won out in the end. He was still dressed somewhat formally, though his jacket was off and his sleeves were rolled up to avoid smudging them.
Beau didn’t hear the footsteps moving around the corner. Even keyed up as he was, he filtered the sound out assuming it was one of his own servants moving through the halls, all of the other guests had filtered out to their rooms for now. He simply leaned forward over his sketchbook.
