Guess who just got back today Who: Courtenay & Henri & Nico What: Where we stand, then celebratory drinking When: Monday July 11th, late evening Where: Antoine's Blues Palace
Court rested against the bar, surveying the crowd. Antoine's was always busy this time of night, with the musical act still going and the game tables running full speed. He sipped a whiskey and water, glad to be out of the Manor with the Rosier's father in town. I can't imagine he's very happy with Adaline's presence. I'm sure he sent a message to Father immediately. We're going to be dealing with his anger sooner rather than later.
The young woman herself Court had only glimpsed in the crowd a few times since he'd handed his wide eyed little sister a bunch of local silver and told her to go enjoy herself. It took effort to not act like a guard dog, watching her all night, but she deserved a chance to be free for once. Let her go make a few mistakes, so long as things don't go too far.
Henri's form moving towards the bar was hard to miss. Court sidled over about a foot and gave the lanky ex-convict room. "What's the word, Henri? You're welcome to have some of my whiskey," he nodded at a bottle on the bar top, a fine strong blend, "if you're willing to drink with me."
