Linden eased in his posture, but still maintained an expression of muted skepticism. Had she really just come to bring him tea? There seemed little other reason she'd be hovering near the door. He extended his hand to take the cup, showing that at least on the surface he accepted her alibi.
"Just the tea, thank you."
He paused once the cup and saucer were safely in his hands, fingers pinching the little porcelain ear.
"How much of my conversation did you happen to overhear?" He asked, soft but intense, and then finally lifted to the cup to his lips to drink.
