Linden, Viola, Court, Bell | Operating Theater
Linden gave himself a moment to appreciate Viola in his own way. She was businesslike, if not a little cold, which he'd anticipated. He had honestly not expected much from the accommodations that the town had available, but what she'd managed to do with clinic was certainly admirable. He followed her into the room beyond the foyer without saying anything, letting the way he regarded the room and her prep speak for itself.
"Marshal," he greeted, and came to stand by the table to appraise the patient lying before him. "Just to confirm, so you understand what is about to happen: Doctor Rosier has informed me that you have an unstable patellar fracture," he paused for a moment, then rephrased. "Your knee is broken, and requires surgery. I will put those pieces back into place. so that you do not experience a host of other complications, including the possibility of amputation. Doctor Rosier has informed me that she has already spoken to you about your financial burden."
Linden slowly began to remove his gloves, tucking them into his back pocket. "I will first place my hand on your leg, just above where the injury is," Linden hovered his hand over precisely where he said it was going to go. "You will slowly begin to lose sensation. When I ask if you can feel my hand, I will need you to answer honestly."
Carefully, Linden placed his bare hand on the Marshal's lower thigh and serenely focused on his Gift without another word until a few moments later: "Can you feel my hand, Marshal?"
