Cece did, of course, immediately notice Mr. Bellamy's makeup, as any well-style woman would. It was a rather clever solution to covering up the bruises from the night before, though Cece couldn't help but wonder where he'd gotten a shade that matched his skin so well (absent proper blending, of course) on such short notice.
Her eyebrows lifted slightly as he talked about Viola taking good care of him and how he got into more scrapes than she liked. Were the two involved somehow, she wondered? Surely not. "Was the makeup your idea, or Viola's?" she asked archly. "It's a very good shade for you, I must say. Though it must be painful to try to blend it over so many bruises." She smiled, a little more earnest now. "I can help you with that, if you're expecting more visitors."
