The Creve Mountains? But the pass cuts right through Calgary, where my father grew up and where my sister works today
What a fascinating an amusing story. You see, my sister has a charitable streak; after finishing medical school, she decided to become a doctor in a small mining town called Calgary, just on the Bellisean side of the railway pass through the Creve Mountains. I've even taken that train when I was a boy to go to the work camp to visit her, my brother-in-law, and my nephews.
Local lore fascinates the boys. Is there more to the story? How would you feel if I shared an embroidered version of Christophe Blanchette with them -- as storybook tall tale only, of course? Could you help me embroider some of the details for them and bring the man to life?
