Fiona caught that glance, and took a moment before she answered, "It's never pleasant. But it is what it is." It would be much too risky to share her actual thoughts with a stranger, even an Aurellian stranger. The Usurpation would not have happened without a good number of Aurellians on the side of the Clovennians, and Fiona only trusted actions.
"It doesn't knock me out the way it does some of us, at least. Did you also...?" She tilted her head towards the infirmary, wondering whether the girl was gifted, and Bound, or not.
She didn't expect her to tell if she was gifted and Unbound, but it was the best she could hope for her.
