"I don't mind objections, and neither should you," Fiona chided him tiredly. "Not when it comes to something like this. It's healthy for them to raise them, for us to discuss. Testing the poison is not a bad idea, if Swallowtail agrees." She truly believed so. Bryn would have to be careful in how he applied his knowledge in the days after the poisoning, but she trusted his discretion.
"But no one else questioned our motives, or Swallowtail's," she added, pointedly. Especially not anyone who had just joined them, and done nothing to prove her dedication to the cause. It shone even worse a light on it all, and paranoia stirred within Fiona again. If someone wanted to stir dissent in their ranks, this would be a great way to start. They had known enough betrayals, over the years, that she hoped that he would not take her question badly. She had to ask it, because of where not asking it could lead them.
