Lachlan very nearly blurted out a 'no' to Fiona's counter with as much finality as she had done to Bryn's suggestion. Instead, he clenched his teeth shut, biting down on the words and letting a little muscle in his jaw twitch for a moment before replying. "Will the blame not fall to you then as the source of this sickness, if Adler notices you are the first to show symptoms?"
Inside his mind, thoughts were whirring like a clock spinning at double time. What they really needed was someone who was not connected to the resistance, so even if they were pinpointed as patient zero, the people tracking the sickness would meet with a dead end. Lachlan's mind had immediately fallen to their Danu, a man he would see on their side over his dead body, but he knew better than to suggest that to anyone but Fiona alone. Their was already enough dissent in their ranks, such a sacrilegious statement would not go down well with their most faithful members.
