Bryn had felt vaguely sick ever since he'd gotten the instructions. He had seen his share of death and harm on the battlefield, but there was something about the deliberate poisoning of innocent people that made him want to scream. They didn't know what this drug would do to them. They could end up killing people, even some of their own people. But even a Clove death from something like this felt wrong. It went against everything he stood for as a Doctor, and he didn't know what to do about it.
A smaller, deeper part of him wanted to see them all suffer. After all, they drugged the Aurellians every other week...
He pushed the insidious voice down. He wasn't ready or willing to face that aspect. Not now, maybe not ever.
He wasn't one to raise a fuss, normally. He didn't like rocking the boat unless it was very important. This was. Still, it took a few deep breaths before he was ready to stand and say his piece.
"I understand the need to fight for our home. I always have. I know many of you don't know me, but those who do will know what I've done for our cause. But this... This doesn't feel right. This isn't an attack on the people who oppress us, this is an experiment against innocent people. There has to be a better way to target this against people who actually deserve it."
