1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 Who Calvin & Simon What:Probably a terrible ideaDrugsWallowing Comfort ??? Where: Cal's place When: Wednesday night, after his conversation with Caden and subsequent sad journal to Simon
This was almost certainly a terrible idea. Calvin knew that full well as he slunk around his kitchen, opening the new bag of salted licorice from the back of the cupboard and shaking them gently into a bowl for Simon. They were a markedly Clovennian candy, the sort that he had to pick up during his trips to Castyll, but they were somehow a perfect fit for Simon, and Calvin always brought some back with him during every visit. Just as a courtesy. So he'd be comfortable.
Obviously Simon would be providing something to drink, but Calvin restlessly set the kettle to boil anyway, in case the Vin Coca needed to be... weakened somehow. For all his relatively heavy use of pelydryn, Calvin was more or less hopeless when it came to using other drugs, and he wasn't particularly sure what to expect, other than, he hoped, something to take the edge off of the tempest of his own melancholy.
Selecting appropriate music was a bit more difficult, however. Most of Calvin's records contained music of a religious nature or precisely the kind of crooning that Simon has vetoed, but Calvin managed to find something brassy and relatively upbeat before the other man arrived. His heart clenched lightly at the sound of his steps ascending the stairs, and he crossed the room to open the door a moment before Simon could knock. Calvin took him by the wrist and tugged him inside, holding a licorice candy between his thumb and forefinger. "Something sweet," he intoned softly, teasing the licorice against Simon's lips.
