Chickens everywhere. Leighton really didn't know where they came from, or how they escaped. It hardly mattered. She had been in town, getting some errands done when there was a scuffle. The sound of people and chickens and a lot of commotion. She had stuck her head out of the store to find that there were fowl everywhere. People were trying desperately to get them all back, but people were having a hard time trying to catch them. It was a little amusing, with everyone running after the chickens and being outrun. They weren't doing such a good job. Then she got an idea. Changing in front of people wasn't something she liked to do, so she found someplace quiet and out of the way to do it. One moment she was there, and the next minute a chestnut-tailed starling was on the ground, fluttering her wings. She wasn't quite sure that she had thought this whole thing through. She thought she could get close to the birds and perhaps try to keep them from running about if she had wings. Could she talk to other birds, while as a bird? She'd never really tried. Flying around, Leigh was glad to spread her wings - literally. She was doing an actual good job, flying and hopping to help herd birds back towards the other people. Though unfortunately she didn't notice that people were setting up traps until it was too late. Basic ones, not to kill the birds but just to trap them. She flew right into one, and suddenly she was stuck. She started to flutter, clearly panicking a bit that she was stuck in this trap. Oh gods, how was she going to get out of this one? |
