Viola continued to stroke Millie's ears as the footman started up the car, her stomach lurching with nerves as they pulled away from the the station. She ducked her head down, grimacing as Brig mentioned Mr. Cress. It was a fair question. One that she probably should've addressed somehow in her journal note, considering that he (or she supposed the housekeeper) would be preparing a room for her and, theoretically, her fiancee.
