"Sounds exhausting if you ask me." Nevermind that she didn't and wouldn't, but that never mattered much to Kell, though the slight tone shift in there was interesting. Vaguely. Ah well, maybe he'd remember it later. "And you keep saying vaguely threatening things, maybe one of these times I'll take you seriously. Possibly." He paused, tilting his head, "Probably not. Keep trying though, if ya like. You hit me as a stubborn sort." It wasn't that he didn't think she could seriously damage him. Hardly. Whatever others may read into his slow smiles and bored eyes some days, he wasn't stupid. It was more a matter of...riding this out and just having a bit of fun until it all crashed around his feet. So, regular Thursday then.
"And knock yourself out. Don't matter much to me how you wanna waste your time, little Wren. Can't imagine that'd be too much fun though." He raised an eyebrow at her comment about the silver, curious if there was an angle here she wasn't telling him about - though, admittedly the ones she did provide were pretty valid, if vague since he had little to no preexisting knowledge for the relationship they were messing with anyway - but, ultimately, this just meant less work for him, so he couldn't drudge up quite enough interest to ask. But there was something that did strike him as...off, even as her tone suggested she was just being logical about all of this. It wasn't enough to get his hackles up, but enough to sharpen his look, even as his tone stayed just this side of uninterested as he slipped off the bed after her, grabbing his shoes from under the edge, "You know, that's fair. Not like I've said yes to every other part of this whole escapade without warning, or haven't warned anyone despite the days between you bringing it up and showing up, or you know, calling a warning when you trespassed. Nothing like that at all."
Sure, he hadn't promised her anything, not yet. But, frankly, he'd as good as, with much of this already. Implying that he couldn't be trusted, despite avoiding the myriad of ways he could've thrown a monkey wrench in this entire thing (without losing a wink of sleep of it), scraped at his nerves in a way he was loathe to admit, but unwilling to back down from.
