Admittedly, Briar had been half hoping to jump on him and startle him awake and was a smidge disappointed when he revealed himself to be awake. Still though, it didn't mean she couldn't have fun. She walked around the room for a moment leisurely, scoping out his things with an undisguised curiosity, "I'm much better close up, knives don't do much at ten yeards out unless you wanna lose 'em." She had thought about how best to enjoy the odd bit of freedom she had around Kelly and settled on something silly but fun. Like the coin tricks she did at The Bounty. So her first words to him were in Castyllian Aurellian, cobbled together from traders that had come into the Bounty bringing in extra supplies for the festival. Working class folk, she had a good time with them and their bawdy jokes.
Curious fingers skimmed along his button collection as a quiet noise of gleeful interest escaped her. Briar hoarded and loved shiny things, really, he was lucky she had given him any. She grabbed them quickly to hold them up in the light coming in from outside like a jewelry inspector, "I'm the Raven but you're the magpie, aren't you?" It was meant to be a tease but she was obviously pleased with this new knowledge.
"Considered it." Briar pocketed one of the buttons and noticed in an almost off-handed way he still had the two she had given him. The pup thing didn't bother her like it probably should, anything was better than addressing her with her father's name like Tucker had or 'little dove'. The former was too jarring, and the latter reminded her of the Lady she should have been. Silly. It had too much power over her, even here in another country.
Without waiting for an invitation she joined him on the bed, a grin reflecting his as she discarded her shoes and pulled her sock-clad feet up on the bed to mimic his position. What. Just because she could turn into an animal doesn't mean she behaved like one. Another kiss to his cheek, "You were awful chummy with the Danu, but I decided to take the chance."
