Krishna & Viola (& a brief sighting of a wild Lukas) | Mid-Afternoon | Town Circle
There were many in the village who would contend that Krishna had no sense of humour. When he said to do something, he couldn't possibly mean it any other way. At the question about plasters, Krishna just shook his head. He had heard of them, but it was quite new. As most new things were, they were expensive, and not necessarily worth the expense. For now. Flower petals, however, were not a half bad idea.
Krishna opened his medicine box and pulled out several of the daylilies he had brought with him. The ones he had with him were a buttery yellow, not at all uncommon in Glynn. He removed the petals deftly, one by one, and handed them to Doctor Rosier.
"Daylilies. They're edible, unlike the other lilies, which are toxic except for their buds." It was meant as much for Doctor Rosier as it was for Lukas, lest either of them tried to use other lilies. There was little danger of using even the toxic lilies as makeshift bandages, provided the petals were intact, but Krishna always erred on the side of caution where his patients were concerned. "This isn't an excuse to do strange things with them when you get home, Lukas."
