Viola & Lachlan | Town Circle | Midmorning
Mr. Kelly was generally so taciturn that Viola lifted her head, slightly surprised when he came down so clearly on the side of validating her feelings. It was silly -- or at least, any self-respecting Clovennian would probably find it so -- to not desire to travel without her brother in toe. But he was right that travel was better with company, and even more right -- almost prescient, really, -- that she wouldn't have been at the festival without him.
She didn't quite gape in the face of this deduction, but she did turn her head slightly and lift her brows, impressed at his reasoning. "Well, I'll have to ask him then, won't I? Though I'm sure he'll want some time here, first." She smiled softly. "He really did miss his orchids. Though I'm sure you knew that. He must have written you." She took another sip of her cider. "He's infinitely kind, my brother. I suppose I'm biased, but... you know how that is." Her smile brightened a little, conspirational. "Siblings."
