Elias was still thinking about the candles Caden have given him as he made his way to another spot that was close to the festivities, but not too close. The sunlight was a little less harsh on his eyes, and the flowers offended him a little less, but the encounter with Caden was confusing and Elias didn't know what to make of it. Despite how Clovennian Caden played at being, Elias had to wonder if he still didn't have the right idea about what an Aurellian bedmate was.
He changed his mind about drinking while on duty when he walked past a cart selling drinks. The woman was happy to give him a cup of pale ale in exchange for a few coins. It was as close to gin as he would get in the middle of the Town Circle. He was about to take a drink when he turned and caught sight of someone who was supposed to be miles and miles away.
"I haven't even started drinking, but I see that you're already well into your day," Elias remarked as he walked toward the familiar figure. Beau Rosier looked even more at home than Elias could play at being, but Elias supposed that spring suited Beau much more than any other season. It seemed like something he would celebrate, Clove though he was. Still, even though Elias wore no flowers, the scent of lavender was fairly strong on him when he moved closer. "How long are you staying?"
