Caden and OPEN | Early afternoon | Town Circle
Caden might not be much for rituals or ceremonies, but he could appreciate the atmosphere of a Turning as much as the next Aurellian. For all that he had decided to work tonight (some of his fellow bedmates had asked for the day off, so he might as well, especially with the tax coming into full effect), that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the festival, at least until he had to go back and get ready for an evening's work.
It wasn't as if he could have worked in the same outfit as he wore to the festival. He had braided and fastened a few flowers into his hair, as always eschewing the more usual flower crowns, for all that he admired them, and the skill Cal showed in making them. He was wearing a pair of simple dark blue linen pants, along with a see-through, fluttery, crocheted blue sweater over an off-white tank top. As he'd walked through the village, he'd picked flowers here and there to fix to his sweater, and it was dotted with them now.
It was good to see the village so full of life and happiness again. The gloom that had temporarily settled over Glynn after the bombing had seemed to lift as people's Gifts returned, and the Turning arrived. Caden had been there for the end of the ceremony, more to watch Cal than for any other reason, and he'd stolen a few moments afterwards (and a couple of kisses, in private), long enough to give him the silk scarf he had bought (and painted) for him. He was unsurprised when Cal declined the offer of a short interlude away from the festivities, and the Danu had returned to work instead. There would be time later; another day.
Then the bedmate had found himself in the Town Circle, asked by a teenage girl if he would do her hair, and of course he complied, able to do something more complex on her than he had done on himself. One request had lead to another, and a gaggle of children kept bringing more flowers to the bench where he had set up, so that he might braid them into the hair of whoever wanted a do more deserving of Canwyn.
Caden was done with the last request now, and he curled and stretched his beringed fingers to relax them, smiling over at the next person to walk over. "Do you want me to do your hair, too?"
