Emlyn | Afternoon | Open!
Canwyn was Emlyn's favourite. Not just the party part of the Turning Festival, but all of it. The beautiful flowers adorning so many public spaces, the processional that she danced and sang along with all through town, the service and verses spoken by Danu Llewellyn (even though Emmy's Clovennian was not very good, at least the passages had been in Aurellian), the storyt of Calyx and her kindness and honesty and generosity... All of it left Emmy feeling full of joy and inspired to goodness. It left her feeling renewed in her dedication to include everyone, to welcome all, to spread kindness and love and happiness as far as she could. It stoked her resolve to connect with as many different people during the Turning Festival as she could, be it through food (which she had volunteered to help serve), music (which she had volunteered to help sing), conversation (which she made a point to initiate with as many as she could), or dance (which she encouraged all, no matter their skill or comfort or birthplace, to try).
Really, Emlyn just wanted to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves as much as she was, if she could, and so she made a point of approaching anyone who was alone, and trying to make them feel welcome. No one should feel lonely at a Turning Festival! So it was with an earnest, open warmth that she did just that, approaching someone standing alone on the outskirts of the dancing to ask, "Oh, this is a lovely song! Would you like to dance with me?"
