Aiden Cadogen | Evening | Town Circle OPEN TO ALL It had been one of the best turning ceremonies Aiden had remembered in a while. Perhaps he was better able to appreciate it now that he had been to the seminary. It had taken on such a more sacred meaning for him.
Perhaps he was too old to be wearing a flower crown, but he didn't really care. Canwyn was his favorite season and his favorite god. He was thrilled that the Cloves had given them the day off and planned to do nothing but celebrate, eat and dance.
Aiden was barefoot, as usual, glad now that the weather was finally warm enough that he didn't have to give a thought to putting on shoes. He perused the cakes at Miss Babbage's stand, debating which one to buy. Glancing over at the person next to him, who also seemed to be facing a difficult choice, he smiled. "Have you tried the blueberry yet?"
CLOSED TO EMMY Later in the evening, Aiden was pacing by one of the trees, trying to figure out the best way to go about this. Just ask her. Emmy had been dancing with a number of people all night and Aiden had been patiently waiting his turn, or, more accurately, he had been hiding behind trees or finding himself busy with other things once she'd seemed free. It wasn't that he didn't want to dance with her, of course. Quite the opposite. He was just terrified of doing something idiotic, like stepping on her feet.
Finally, when he saw that she was alone, he decided that it had to be now. After a quick prayer to Canwyn, Aiden forced his legs to walk over to where Emmy was standing.
