Rowena hadn't expected to run into anyone who knew her in the Sapphire Domain. In fact, that had been part of the appeal of the distant domain in addition to the vaunted peace within its borders. Still, she felt the eyes upon her before she noticed anything, glancing up to search the crowd. At first, she saw nothing of note, just the passing townsfolk going about their business. It was a moment later that she spotted a face that seemed vaguely familiar.
A familiar face, Rowena knew, could be dangerous and her first instinct was to withdraw and avoid drawing attention to herself. A quick glance confirmed, though, that there was no ready escape and she knew her silver-white hair would mark her as plainly as a beacon. She was neither swift enough to escape pursuit or strong enough to deter an opponent. In short, she needed a better plan.
Rowena inclined her head slightly, noticing that the man still watched her, if subtly. She was anxious, hoping that whoever this man was, he meant her no harm.
