When Emrys had announced to Madoc some time ago that he wanted some excitement in the domain, he certainly hadn't meant in to from of a plague. But he supposed one had to be more careful with what one asked for, because sure as anything, there was a plague about. A few other patrons of the inn were ill, but Emrys and Madoc had both remained luckily unafflicted. Emrys rather hoped to keep it that way.
He'd heard rumors that it was a magical plague, and that there was certain conditions for it being spread. Whatever they were, Emrys was doing his best to keep away from those who were already ill. He'd rather not take his chances. He was out walking, partly just to get fresh air and partly to purchase some new candles...if he could remember where the chandler's shop was.
While he attempted to find his bearings - yet again - he noticed someone. A young woman, the epitome of fair. She was beautiful and so pale in coloring that her hair look like shining white in the sunlight. She also looked terribly familiar. Emrys stopped and stared for a moment, before stepping back to watch her more unobtrusively. The last time a woman had seemed familiar, it had nearly turned into a disaster. He didn't have a cloak on to hide behind, but luckily only his hose were brightly colored today, as the tunic he'd donned actually belonged to Madoc. Perhaps Emrys would not be too noticeable.
