TAKE TWO!
Who: Emrys and Caradoc
What: Meet and greet. HOW WILL THIS TURN OUT YOU ASK.
Where: At the Rusty Bucket, of all places!
When: In the evening, before the really rowdy types show up
Rating: PG/PG 13? This place is full of cutthroats and there'll be NPC cursing, at the least.
Emrys frequently had no idea where he was going. He was the sort to often let his feet taken him somewhere, attempt to remember how he'd gotten there, and then figure out a way back. Sapphire City was large enough that he'd gotten lost before, but each time he'd found someplace interesting to report back to Madoc. Finding said place again wasn't always the easiest thing to do however.
One such thing had happened just the other day, when Emrys had attempted to take Madoc to a nice place for lunch, and gotten lost. That had turned into a bit of an adventure, but it hadn't stopped him from doing it again. As the sun sank down toward the horizon, Emrys found a place that looked like it was about to collapse on itself. A mostly worn sign, fighting to stay attached to the structure proclaimed this place The Rusty Bucket as best Emrys could read it. As he approached, the door opened violently and a burly man flung a slightly smaller one out into the road. Emrys hesitated a moment, but then a grin spread across his face. He tossed his cape up around his shoulders, stepped neatly over the fallen man and headed inside.
A cursory glance gave him a really good idea of the place: a dive. Sawdust covered the floor, not disguising the blood and whatever else was also there. Men slumped over tables, argued and fought in corners, played throwing knives at a target painted on the wall. No fire burned in the hearth, possibly to keep a leash on too much talent using by drunken folk. A tall dusky woman leaned against the far wall, watching everything with dark eyes, picking her nails with a wicked-looking dagger. She was the only female there, for what Emrys could see. Didn't seem much like the sort of place most women - or decent men - would frequent.
Emrys liked the place. It seemed...exciting. He headed for the bar to help himself to what he was sure would be watered down ale.
