"I... what? No, no that's fine. I..." she attempted to speak only to find she was incapable of forming a complete sentence. "I've seen him before, I... I'm not making sense," she ended weakly, the disbelief showing on her face as she tried to gain back her composure. "I didn't mean to impose on you, I truly thought that I was fine. I am fine. I mean. I..."
She crossed her arms tight against her chest. Her hands were still shaking, but it wasn't weakness this time. Her head was starting to ache again, as it sometimes did after an extremely powerful Seeing. But she hadn't Seen, Seers saw the future not the past. What was going on? She couldn't Read and she Saw the past. She was going mad. Stark, raving mad. And the last thing she needed was a Healer to prove it. Suddenly all she wanted to do was escape. She had embarrassed herself thoroughly. She had completely lost her composure.
"I'm sorry, don't worry about me, I'm sure that it was just a vision brought about because I have been ill," Everil said, schooling her face to be calmer, relaxing, even though her stomach was knotting over and over. "Though I should go now, I didn't mean to distress you in any way." She stood, forcing herself to take a last bite of food before she started to fish through the pouch on her waist for coins to pay for her meal.
