She spared a thought for her own father, abandoned first by her mother and then by her, left alone now that she and her siblings were gone. It was a painful thought, one she chose not to dwell on, so she pushed it away. "What sort of business?" she inquired, keeping the focus off herself, off her own family; it was easier that way.
She listened to Everil speak, eating her breakfast now that Everil had a plate in front of her as well. "I find that traveling affords many opportunities to meet interesting people and see interesting places. I am finding this place to be interesting enough. A bit calmer than most," she replied with a shrug. "How do you find it?"
