Aoife went pale, then flushed furiously at Everil's accusation. "I had no control over what I did," she hissed, trying to keep her voice below shouting levels. "What's your excuse?" She pushed Everil's finger out of her face. "I honestly don't know what you meant, Everil, because you are impossible to know. You're false, cruel, and selfish! You use people without a thought to their feelings!"
Aoife was shaking with anger, though she tried to keep it from bubbling up, from exploding from her in the worst way possible. "You're so oblivious that you can't even tell when your presence isn't wanted. So let me tell you plainly. I don't want to speak with you, I don't want to catch up. You lost the right to know anything about me when you betrayed me. I don't want to see you ever again." The last was added in slow, enunciated words. There was no way Everil could misinterpret that, Aoife thought.
