Everil let her tone wash off her. A good portion of her knew that Aoife had a right to be angry at her, but the small little bit that didn't know and wouldn't really let Everil understand completely dominated her thoughts. The logical reasoning seemed to be missing the central piece that would make the puzzle picture clear. It was that that drove her forward when her common sense was trying to tell her to leave well enough alone.
"As much as I could probably use a few candles, it wasn't really my reason," Though it would have been if the shop was still open she thought, "Well, as you are the only one I really know in the city," not completely a lie because she hadn't known Emrys for nearly as long as she had known Aoife, "I was wondering if we could catch up sometime.
