Tegwaret's tree-hut had truly been ruined. However that did not stop him from not seeking residence in the city. At least with some fresh clothes, he could survive in the open air, and in particular, the moving air around the river. There were no rocks of cliff in this area, and Tegwaret certainly was not going to be more than candle's torch of vision from Leland, so the open air of the river would suffice.
At the echo of horses, however, he immediately placed himself within a set of tall cattails and grasses closer to the water's edge.
A child, matriarchs, noble, looking for land? He consider not only their garb, but their horses garb as well at their approach and wondered if he may actually be of any service.
"It's quite alright!" Tegwaret barely shouted, side stepping from out the grass. "If it's simply passage you need, please feel free. I am nigh transient myself here as well, thought not outcaste, lest that worry you ladies. And..." Smiling, he hoped a peaceful approach might ward off any dark-intentioned travelers. "...of course one need lead a horse to water now and then, so again,"
Stepping but two steps slowly but steadily out of his hiding spot, he displayed a hand to the water, "feel free."
