Leland felt Tegwaret's eyes on him and felt slightly warm under that penetrating gaze. He suddenly felt like Teg could read him without use of talent, even though years had separated them. The concern he showed was amazing. Leland knew Teg was taking himself seriously, protecting Leland, but the quickness with which he leaped to defend him was still a little awe-inspiring. He shook his head quickly. "No, nothing like that. She was never that kind of person. I don't think she could have changed so much in that amount of time. I don't think she even knew I'd be here. She seemed just as surprised and not exactly happy to see me as I was her." He sighed. "It was just a painful blast from the past I wasn't at all ready to deal with, I suppose."
Leland lay back down and closed his eyes again, his brow furrowed. "It just put me out of sorts. In fact I completely forgot I need to get some more candles. Between the sickness in the city and my own personal use, I've gone through most of the ones I bought from the chandler shop. I did use the hearth fires for much of the healing but still I'll feel better when I have more to carry along with me." He pursed his lips. "I wonder if I can get a specialty candle made, perhaps with an extra thick wick so the flame is larger..." he mused, his mind happily leaving the subject of Sibyla.
