She nodded, "it is." She was proud of it, especially now her father was talking more and more of leaving it in her hands. It hurt her brother and if she wasn't worried about wounding his pride even more she'd tell him she'd never kick him out. She was also proud on how well she was doing. She was often so quiet her father worried for the business. She would not let him down.
She grinned, then let it simmer down into a smile. "A true shame that is." She calculated, trying to guess how much of a discount she could offer. "As I want to show you the hospitableness of our great town, I am willing to give you a 20% discount on the one with the feathers, along with half price for for the second cloak. I am also willing to throw in a small satchel, to be used for a purse or anything like that. For the richer cloak I am willing to go as low as 10% with a 25% discount on the second one. I am also willing to bargain, but I must caution that my father does want gold from the richer one and plans to secure me and my brothers inheritance and food for the winter. I do hope you understand." She wasn't sure if a shopkeeper was supposed to apologize, but it didn't feel right not doing so.
"Gladly, now I have never met our King but he is a wise and just ruler. He is a great tactician, and never asks for more then we are able to give. I have grown up under his rule, and can say I have never suffered for it." She shrugged, "only rumors, that it is full of strife and Games. That it is full of Beguilers, trying to gain superiority over each other, bringing chaos abounds. Is it really like that, or is that just rumors?"
