Through their silence, Tegwaret keep a passive watch around them. This place was mysteriously quiet and not threatening. Too perfect. The absence of threat kept Tegwaret thinking on what he would do one they reached the city. After much toiling and negative thinking about society, he decided that it would be best to let Leland decide for him, but that would be saved for later.
Finally, Leland's words drew him from his reverie. He hadn't noticed the sun moving over him all that much, but there it was, staring at him from it's side of the horizon. He considered, for a moment, the possibility of saying that they needed to camp out here one more night before reaching the city. There wasn't any need to, they would definitely reach the city by if not before nightfall at this pace, even with time for dinner at the lodging; but at the same time, he didn't know if he was ready and comfortable to throw himself back into society again with all of it's anxieties and dangers. However, even if they did stay out for the night, the foil would be ruined when Leland discovered how close to the city they really were the following morning.
Sucking up his pride, Tegwaret answered. "We'll reach it before nightfall. The trees are already thinning and the animals tracks are growing fainter, we're reaching civilization soon enough." His tone was a little darker, gritted almost behind semi-closed teeth as he admitted the truth.
