But then there are people I've helped in those towns that had no healer at all, so I don't really regret the path I've taken thus far." There were a few things he would have loved to have done differently, but well, one couldn't change the past.
Leland fell into a thoughtful silence himself and the next few hours passed with burst of conversation. At one point, Leland was certain he saw something in the trees, but it turned out to be just a flitchhawk of unusual size. The sun continued its inexorable path across the sky, moving gradual from being overhead to off to the right as they continued south.
