Tegwaret stuck his tongue out is reprobation of Leland's comments before continuing. "With a town of that size, I'm sure there's some old healers about who would appreciate an apprentice, even though you're well beyond your apprenticing years. It's worth a shot, I think. I, however..."
Tegwaret's words stopped, his lips closing silent as he considered the options. He didn't want to live in the city. A large part of him was hoping that they could find an inn near the forest so that he could watch from a distance and still be there to protect Leland. Then again, he wouldn't be a very good protectorate if he wasn't at an arm's reach in the face of danger. He didn't consider that he may be overgrandizing his duties for Leland, taking it all for granted that the healer needed protection and his servitude.
These thoughts rambled through Tegwaret's brain, stopping his speech from continuing as he lost himself there, absent-mindedly walking through the forest.
