Leland frowned at the story. "I wish I had been there to help. Hearing stories about wounds I know I could have healed..." Leland shook his head. "Well you certainly don't look any worse for wear, so I suppose I'm making a bigger deal of it than I need to."
The rest of the story had Leland's eyebrows climbing to his hairline. "With a half-done healing job, I should hope whatever payment she was given was reduced. One shouldn't take payment in full for a job that isn't complete or even well-done." Leland had been feeling the strain in his legs just a little from the change in incline, and shifted his pack, looking forward to see their progress. "I assume the hag wasn't just a healer, assuming she had the talent at all, rather than using herbal knowledge?"
