Peter flushed a little but hugged her back, laughing when she shoved him away. Something about it felt so familiar, even though it was also really different.
"You saw me the other day. I've been here for two years." So of course he didn't know 'everything'. "This place is weird, MJ. When we got here we were on an island. Beach and cabanas and tiki restaurants and everything. A few months ago it moved us here. We wake up to new crazy things all the time." He took a deep breath. Something about her tone made him think maybe he didn't actually want to know 'everything'. "Tony and I have a theory that this is a sort of pocket universe. Outside of normal space and time. I mean...he's alive here, for one. And when I got here, Morgan was here and she was almost ten which is definitely not how old she was the last time I saw her. And May knew things I didn't and I mean, Dr. Banner isn't green here obviously and Natasha's alive so..."
He was rambling. He knew he was rambling, but he couldn't stop himself. Stopping would mean she'd look at him like he was a stranger, or an imposter of himself. Stopping meant she'd tell him what she'd just come from and big brave superhero or not, he was terrified.
