As soon as she'd woken up, Mal had jumped off the bed and run to the window. "What is this?" she said, wonder in her voice. There was no snow on the Isle and she had yet to see any in Auradon but she'd read about it and knw what it looked like. The whole world was white and she couldn't stop staring. Then it hit her, where exactly was she? She turned and looked around the room, finding the things that had been left there. "Nice phone," she said and put it in the pocket of her pants along with the money.
Mal opened the door and looked into the living room, hoping that maybe Ben was here too. There was evidence that other people were here but they didn't seem to be at home for the moment. Carefully stepping into the larger room, Mal searched for signs of danger but things seemed safe enough. Maybe she'd have better luck outside so she went to the door and stepped into the cold air and immediately burst into a relieved smile.
"Ben!" she cried and hurried over to him, throwing her arms around him. "Where is this? Have you seen snow before? I never have, it's beautiful but it's a little bit colder than what I'm used to." Being the daughter of one of the most feared witches in the land and the god of the underworld didn't exactly lend itself to being able to tolerate cold weather.
