MJ thought about it as she went through the motions of making the coffee. She did it enough times for herself, it made sense that she could land the part-time gig at Starkbucks. At least it wasn't like a regular chain coffee shop back home in the real world. No one seemed particularly stressed about getting their morning cup of java here. No rude customers barking obscenities in your face while an impatient line winded out the door.
"For the class trip, right? They were trying to narrow down places in Italy? My vote's for Venice."
Peter then dropped his exposition bomb in his typical, endearing Peter way. MJ waited until she had the coffee brewing before she turned around to address what he said.
"That's a lot." She tilted her head. "You get that I don't blame you, though, right? Whatever happened to future me, with this whole Blip business and whatever." She waved a sweeping dismissive hand. "That's, like, future me's problem. And I even get why you lied about being Spider-Man. It's a big secret, being a superhero running around while you're a high schooler."
